Working with me simply means working with someone you can trust. Here are answers to the questions I am most frequently asked while being interviewed. They are probably some of the same questions you want the answers to too!

  1. Q: How long have you been in real estate?
    A: 25 years

  2. Q: What do you know about this market?
    A: Fortunately I know a lot about your market. I have personally lived in some of the twin cities most vibrant communities, gaining intimate knowledge by immersing myself fully in Chamber of Commerce Events, City Planning public hearings, and other events to quickly keep abreast of community dynamics. I am also an avid reader and statistical researcher. I quickly amass knowledge and pride myself on being an excellent resource for the history and development of the cities I serve.

  3. Q: What do you feel is the number one mistake most real estate agents make?
    A: A combination of not listening to their clients needs and over-promise and under-deliver. Too many agents simply don't listed to what is important to them in selecting agent to work with. I listen to you needs and make sure I tailor my service to exceed your expectations. Many agents will say things to gain a client and fail to deliver on their promises. Their is no faster way to lose a client and the prospect for a referral than to not stand behind your commitment. You can be certain that I will be honest, forthright, diligent, respectful, and follow through, even when the news is tough to hear.

  4. Q: Why should I choose you to represent me as a buyer?
    A: Education. No matter if you are a first time homebuyer or a seasoned homeowner, there are many things to learn about the buying process. It is my goal to make you an informed buyer, fully understanding the documents required to make you a homeowner, from agency representation, to purchase agreement, to home inspection, to closing. Ultimately you can trust me to look out for your best interests at all times.

  5. Q: What can I expect after we sign an agreement with you?
    After we review agency and representation, I will gather information about the property you are looking for. Location, characteristics (number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, style of home, amenities, such as a master suite, large kitchen, walk out basement, large fenced yard, etc..) and obviously price and set up a search for properties matching those criteria in the price range you can afford. This search will be emailed to you and will automatically update each time there is a new listing or a change to an existing listing. This not only keeps us abreast of available properties, but also what is happening in the market in sales and price reductions. Market information is provided to all my clients, wheteher they are buyers or sellers to keep them informed and abreast of the real estate marketplace.

  6. Q. How will you use technology to our advantage?
    A: Indeed, the world of real estate has dramatically changed. According to the National Association of Realtors, 77% of all homebuyers start their home buying search online, so working with an internet savvy real estate professional is not only logical, it's absolutely essential. As an e-PRO Certified Internet Professional and a JustListed.com Certified Internet Professional, I have passed educational requirements to attain the highest levels of Internet competency as established by the National Association of Realtors, and am among only 1% of all Realtors nationwide to hold the prestigious ePRO designation.

    When helping buyers, I know how to find property and perform all the research to fully understand all the nuances of a particular opportunity, giving us the greatest leverage to negotiate the best sales price the market and circumstances will bear.

    When helping sellers, I leverage my internet marketing expertise to expose your home, locally and nationally, on a myriad of internet portals and syndication services, to millions of potential buyers where they look most. Each seller I represent also receives a dedicated website specific to their property, which lists all pertinent details, including many professional photos and a virtual tour, and offers multiple ways to contact me for a showing appointment or other general inquiry (click here for an example).     I also use the latest technology in computer equipment, capitalizing on the efficiencies of a Tablet PC and related software that enables my clients to sign purchase agreements and other documents digitally, saving valuable time as I present offers and conduct negotiations. My wireless internet card allows me to email documents anywhere a cell phone connection is available, and on many occasions this technology has been the difference between my clients winning or losing a property. In addition, I use a "smartphone" that not only allows clients to reach me most hours of the day by phone, but also allows me to receive text messages and email in real time so I can respond quickly, and immediately take advantage of opportunities. Responsiveness, accessibility, and communication are critical aspects of any business, especially real estate, and simply won't be compromised in my dealings with you.
